Comacchio MC1200
Comacchio MC1200 crawler drilling rig with a mast on an articulated boom, rotary head, 360 mm clamp and rod loader.
A crawler drilling rig from the Italian manufacturer Comacchio. The mast sits on an articulated boom with hydraulic cylinders, so it can work vertical, inclined or horizontal and move the drilling point without moving the machine. In the photos it is folded in the transport position.
It dates from 2003. It has a rotary head travelling along the mast, a 360 mm diameter clamp, a rod loader and a hose-carrier chain. It is operated from a control console with levers, direct-reading pressure gauges and an emergency stop; there is no radio remote control.
